Photo Rejuvination
(IPL)
Intense pulses of light (IPL) photofacial penetrate deep into the skin to treat various skin conditions. This specialized laser targets uneven pigment and sunspots on faces, necks, hands, and chests. This treatment also causes collagen and blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, which reduces redness, fine lines, and wrinkles. IPL offers physician-grade results with minimal to no downtime. Also, you can notice results in as little as one treatment.
Rosacea
Sandy Utah
Treatments for rosacea include laser therapy. Laser treatment can also reduce the redness caused by rosacea, remove thickening skin, and help to resurface the skin. In addition, laser therapy can give you a 50 to 75% reduction in visible blood vessels after one to three treatments. Treatments are spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, and results tend to last 3 to 5 years. Results can vary between patients. Scaring is rare when a certified technologist uses a laser for rosacea treatment.

Sun Damage
Sandy Utah
Sun damage in Sandy, UT, can increase the risk of skin cancer, wrinkling, darkening, and spotting on the skin. UV exposure has been proven to be the primary cause of skin aging. There are a variety of treatments, including laser therapy. Laser therapy involves removing the top layers of skin to reveal new and more youthful cells, stimulate collagen production, and even out skin tone. Depending on the sun damage, various treatments, including Fraxel, Nd:YAG, and CO2 lasers, can be used.
Brown Spots
Sandy Utah
Brown spots are caused by sun damage sustained when you were young. If you spent time outdoors without sunscreen, you could expect brown spots around your 40s and 50s. Brown spots develop when there is an overabundance of melanin. Brown spots don't go away by themselves, but treatments with laser technology are very effective for removing unwanted pigmentation. The type of laser treatment is determined by the severity of brown spots, skin type, and skin tones.
Sublative Frax
Frax 1550nm laser treatment creates controlled and minimal areas of heat damage surrounded by healthy normal skin. When the body repairs itself, collagen in the entire treated area is replaced, reducing fine lines, and leaving skin fresher. In addition, the top layer of the skin is renewed, improving the pigment.
Scar Rejuvination
Sandy Utah

Lasers are very safe, only requiring a topical anesthetic to numb the skin. You may experience some pain, swelling, redness that usually disappears in a few days. There is little downtime, and you can expect to heal in three to ten days.
F A Q's
What should I do before a laser treatment?
Before your procedure, you should stop using topical treatments such as Retinol’s, glycolic acid, or other anti-aging products at least 3 days before your treatment. The treatment areas should not be bleached, waxed, tweezed, or have hair removal cream applied to them.
What can I expect during and after my laser treatment?
During laser treatment, your skin will be exposed to an intense beam of light energy. Lasers destroy the epidermis (surface of the skin). At the same time, they heat and stimulate collagen production in deep layers of dermal tissues, resulting in better tone and texture to facial or body surfaces over time. Skin that has undergone laser resurfacing may react differently, but it usually leaves patients feeling like they have a mild sunburn with redness and swelling (which should go away within a few days following most procedures). There might also be some itching or stinging during recovery.
Is there any downtime after a laser treatment?
During recovery, there is usually minimal downtime. Redness, swelling, and discomfort are typical for a few days. However, it should subside quickly with no permanent effects on your skin complexion or sensitivity. To help lessen any discomfort, using a cool compress as needed can help shorten recovery time before you resume normal activities. The cool compress should not affect your treatment negatively.
What type of results can I expect to see after a laser treatment?
There should be quite a noticeable difference in your skin once the healing is complete, a difference that can even last for years. With that said, keep in mind that it is best to avoid excessive exposure to the sun for one year to prevent irregular pigmentation. New sun damage can also reverse any improvements gained from a laser procedure over time.
